(FAQs)

Unitarian Universalism is an old religious tradition in the United States. The same kind of ideas that gave birth to this country gave birth to our religion. These ideas include respect for human dignity and belief in individual freedoms; respect for reason and science; and belief in democratic institutions.
Our religion has not remained static. It has evolved over the centuries, incorporating new discoveries in the fields of human knowledge. Most important to us are personal integrity, an acceptance of ourselves and others, an appreciation for the incredible variety of religious experience, and an abiding unwillingness to claim that any one version of religious insight is true at the expense of others.
We believe that life is a precious gift, the bounty of which should be shared by all. We encourage people to continue to grow and question and search for insight - throughout the life cycle.
