Ministerial Search Task Force
(MSFT)

The Accotink UU Church Ministerial Task Force is composed of the Following Members:

The Task Force will keep members of the Church informed with articles in the monthly Church Newsletter as well as below on this Web Page.

Your Ministerial Search Task Force has been meeting weekly since early April, and after completing the congregational survey, writing a history of the congregation and finishing several other substantive projects, we've sent our Congregational Record (CR) to the UUA.

The CR was approved, and a number of applications from interested ministers have been submitted to UUA's secure online website. By the rules set up for all ministerial searches, the Task Force can keep you regularly informed of our progress, but we must hold confidential the names (and even the number) of the applicants.

We will be carefully screening all applications, including extensive research into all of them, and will conduct in-depth phone interviews. As has been mentioned before in several venues within AUUC, we will then narrow our search and keep you informed as things move along.

The Task Force members include Jim Girard and Dick Robison as co-chairs, plus Don Eckerman, JoAnn Flanagan, Ed Jaffee, Suzy Porth, Ben Watson and Sally Wilklow. Feel free to ask us your questions. We'll provide as much information as we can, consistent with the requirement to maintain the confidentiality mentioned above.

The Task Force is excited by this opportunity and is looking forward to seeking the best match as a settled minister for AUUC.

The Task Force is delighted to announce their selection of a candidate for our settled minister, Click here for letter to friends and members of the congregation.
