

Accotink UU Church makes its facilities available for others as long as it doesn't interfere with the Church's activities or mission. Rental of space can be on a one time basis or on a repeated long-term basis.

RENTAL GUIDE
The primary purpose of the Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church (AUUC) is to provide a spiritual home for the members of its congregation. To the extent that our facilities are not committed to church-sponsored functions, the facilities of the church are available to individuals and community groups which do not practice any form of discrimination. Groups requesting use of the facilities will be required to certify that they do not discriminate. Use of the facilities by profit making groups shall be subject to the approval of the AUUC Board of Trustees.

BOOKING THE BUILDING
All arrangements for dates, times and set up must be made through the church rental committee. The church administrator will arrange contact with the proper church contact people.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations may not be made more than one year in advance by non-members unless approved by the Rental Committee. Each reservation must be accompanied by a completed application form signed by the applicant and by the deposit specified here.
FEES
Security Deposit: A refundable security/holding deposit equal to the greater of one half the rental or $200 must accompany each reservation.
General Fees for Use of Facilities: These fees cover only the use of the building. Services of a minister, caterer, janitor or other personnel are the responsibility of the person using the building. Fees are quoted for the entire contracted time which includes that time required for set-up and clean-up. Only those rooms expressly contracted for can be occupied by a renter. Conflicts must be resolved with church Rental Committee, or renter may face added costs.
Weddings: Basic fee covers a five-hour block (usually one-hour rehearsal and four hours for the wedding, including set-up and clean-up), use of the nursery and two other downstairs rooms as required.
Basic Fee: $400
Additional usage: $90 per hourWeddings with receptions: Basic Fee covers a seven-hour block (usually a one-hour rehearsal and six hours for the wedding and reception, including set-up and clean-up), use of the nursery and kitchen as required, other downstairs rooms as required, and sole use of the building during the time of the wedding and reception.

Non-profit organizations: One half the general fee
Members and Friends: Members and friends of AUUC may use the church for rites of passage and religious celebrations such as weddings, dedications, memorial services, Eagle Scout award ceremonies, etc. for immediate family members without fees if the member or friend will open and close the building and take care of clean-up. A refundable security/holding deposit of $200 must accompany the reservation. Members of AUUC are those persons who meet the criteria for membership as stated in the church bylaws. Friends are those persons who, though not members, have a current financial pledge for the support of the church.
- Other open events: Free if approved as a church function by the Board of Trustees.
- Private events: One-half the general fee.
Long term and recurring use: A separate licensee agreement will be negotiated for each long term use.
Fees for each use may be reduced or waived by the AUUC Board of Trustees at its discretion.

Upper Level
The sanctuary/fellowship hall is equipped with 165 movable chairs. An additional 40 folding chairs can be placed in the overflow area when the room is set up for meetings. The fellowship hall can be set up for dinners with up to 15 8-foot long folding tables, each sitting eight people. The room also contains a piano and is equipped with a sound system for microphones, tape cassettes, and CDs.
Lower Level
Folding tables and chairs are available to set up the rooms for various uses.
Parking
The paved lighted parking lot contains 50 parking spaces. Additional on-street parking is available.
