Welcome from Reverend Scott Sammler-Michael and Administrator Katie Cooke

We are thrilled you are interested in learning more about Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church. Accotink is an open and nurturing community of faith. We foster each individual's spiritual journey, and we share common values while honoring a diversity of beliefs. Together, we cherish our connection to nature, and we act to transform our world into a more embracing and just community. If you are looking for a faith community that helps you grow spiritually, without telling you how to do it, this is the community for you.

We provide the information below to make it easier for you to feel comfortable on your first visit. We look forward to meeting you and helping you learn more about Accotink and Unitarian Universalism. If you would like to meet before or after a service, we are happy to do so. Come As You Are

There is no dress code, so please feel free to come as you are most comfortable. Some people come each week dressed up, while others are very casual wearing t-shirts and jeans. We are more focused on what's inside you than on what you wear.

We have a parking lot that holds 52 vehicles on the paved upper area and another 20 on the grass hill accessible in the turn-around-court.  If the lots are full, street parking is available. We reserve a few spaces for guests and visitors (as well as staff and winners of our auction) in the upper parking lot.

There are handicap accessible entrances on both levels of the church building. Since we have no elevator, if you are coming for worship, enter the upper level; if coming for Religious Education, then enter the lower level, as all classrooms are on the lower level. There are also assistance listening devices and large print hymnals available. Children with special needs are very welcome at AUUC, expecially in our religious education classes (see next page for more information). If you have other special needs not addressed here, please let us know how we can be of service.
